• About

    Built on Passoniate Humans.

Adult literacy makes our community stronger! The possibilities are endless for an adult learning to read, write and speak English. Getting involved with LiteracyCNY promises to be one of the most fulfilling experiences you will ever have.

LiteracyCNY offers training for volunteers to work with adult literacy students:

    • In one-to-one tutor-student pairs
    • In small group classes taught by credentialed instructors
    • In oral English conversation practice groups

  • Workshop Training Schedule

LiteracyCNY will offer tutor training online beginning on July 1, 2019. For information, or to enroll, please contact Program Manager Anne Whitmore at awhitmore@LiteracyCNY.org. Online tutor training will be supported with a scheduled meeting with tutors who have completed online training and through periodic in-person professional development workshops.
